Slovenská literatúra (Slovak literature) is the only organ of a Slovakistics focused on literary scholarship. It has forty-eight years tradition in the research area of the history and theory of literature. It is considered to be a basic Slovakistics magazine in the international connections. The magazine is basically focused on the research activity of researchers of the Institute of Slovak literature of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, but it is open for different groups of other researchers of the history, theory of literature, the literary critics from national and international institutions and universities. The contributions published in standard columns (Articles, Horizons, Discussion, Sources and Documents, Chronicle, From scholarly life) offer a picture about methodological basis, research goals and grant projects from history (from ancient time up to now), theory, critics, genealogy, semiology, textology, comparastics, bibliography and so on.
